I’d have to be honest here, I couldn’t finish this book. I normally would try and read a hundred pages before I call it quits, on page 90, I was done. This book, however, didn’t hold my attention and I struggled to keep reading.
I love paranormal suspense books. That was what drew me to it. To be honest I couldn’t fully understand Grace, the heroine. I get that she’s military and serious, and I’m used to it, due to my own military family. There just wasn’t anything that I could connect with her in order to enjoy this book.
For Brice… Well, I was hoping somebody would have shot him in the book. He was so arrogant and pushy. As Grace, the way she was Portrayed in the story, she just put up with him and allowed it to go on for so long.
Now Grace is a psychic tracker for the Army. She was hired to find the missing child. Brice, who is a local sheriff, is also determined to find the missing children. But he’s distracted by his attractions or lack thereof, towards her.
While he tries to break down her walls, he also tries to find the kids, but he can’t seem to do two things at once. Honestly, He was thinking between his legs and not with his actual head! With Grace and her walls, I feel that there were zero chemistry between the two but that’s just me.
I would maybe give this book a one star if I was rating it.
What are your thoughts on this book? Let me know down below. Maybe there was something that I missed that you may be caught. Although I highly doubt that I will read the rest of the book or the rest of the series.
