Recently you’ve been questioning yourself about your friendship status. You even questioned about if you are even good friends anymore.
Well, let’s stop that thinking right now. If your intention was only to look out for the other person, then you are not a bad person or friend. People will be people, and you cannot control anybody. Thats a toxic trait to have, so don’t do that.
Let people live their own lives. Let them travel down a road of either a lesson of destruction or a blessing.
You may lose a friend in the process but as long as you are honest and sincere about your opinion, then maybe it’s for the best. Think about it, if you’re being honest to your best friend and they are offended then that’s on the not on you. Best friends are supposed to back each other up, protect each other, to be honest when no one will be honest to them, “respectful” to one another. You all know what I mean when I say respectful.
Now if only one side is trying and the other party is distant then, my friend, your friendship is over. I am sorry to say, but it is.
Just remember, this is not the end of the world, it may hurt like a kidney stone or a punch to the gut, but I promise it will pass. Just wish them well and be true to it and don’t forget to forgive them. Otherwise, you’d take your hurt or anger out on the next potential friend.
Don’t allow them to be disrespectful towards you. More importantly don’t be disrespectful to them. You don’t want to stoop down to their level of pettiness.
If you were meant to be friends, then nothing would come between the two of you. That means no girlfriend/ boyfriend, job, family etc, could ever pull you two apart.
Now, I know you are thinking of the past that the two of you had. Keep the good memories and don’t dwell on the guilt of losing that particular friend. Like I mentioned before, if you two are real best friends all of these feelings wouldn’t happen in the first place.
I’m not talking about one fight, I’m talking about many fights that don’t get resolved, even if you haven’t talked in years.
Mine ended because I got tired of it being one sided and being used then forgotten, when I wasn’t needed anymore. But this is a story for a different time.
All I ask is, just be true to yourself, have good intentions and keep your head up. Remember there are other people who would appreciate you being their friend, simply by being you.
This story is about a shy girl named Elizabeth Anne Fitsgerald, also known as Lizzie, in the book. She attends her first masquerade ball, when she discovers that Lord Tyrell De Warenne is to attend as well. A man, who she worshiped the very ground he walked on, for years, since they were children. So, to say she was stunned when he had asked for her hand to dance is an understatement. She couldn’t believe it! One that he had asked and two that she was actually dancing with the man of her dreams! The only doubt she had was, did he know as to whom he was dancing with? After all it is a masquerade ball!
All doubt went out the window, for when the dance was over, Tyrell invited her out to a private midnight rendezvous in the gardens. With giddiness throughout the night, about meeting with him alone, an unfortunate accident happened to a dress causing her to not only change but go home. She regretted the whole ordeal, thinking that this was the only chance that she had in to talking with him alone. As fates would have it, that that night would change her life forever.
Now, two years have passed since Tyrell had shocked Lizzie into dancing, it was her turn to shock him as she showed up at his doorstep. This time she wasn’t alone. She had a child with her and claimed, to him, that the child was his!
With the years of not seeing her at any other events, he remembered her but to claim something of his was the impossible! What game was Lizzie playing at and more importantly, why? He recalled how sweet and shy she was as a girl. Before him now was a woman with vast amount of courage to back her accusation up!
Doesn’t matter, Tyrell plays along with her, for he intends to win at whatever game she has planned up. Little did he know that she held all the cards and knew all the rules.
This book was referred to me, from a friend, then asked for the book back when I was done. Now I know why. So, I ended up buying a copy for myself for my collection to keep. I was skeptical because, at the time, I never read historical romance novels. This book became another page turner to me, and I couldn’t put it down!
My imagination went wild on this book. Each scenario had me thinking that the story was going to be different due to the “rules” of the game. Don’t take my word on it. Get it yourself and tell me what you think! If I could give this star out of five, it would be no doubt a 10!
To tell you the truth, I had to think about this question.
What do I like about myself?
Hmmm, I don’t think it’s more physical or mental or even vice versa. Or maybe I do, I don’t know but I do know that I am digressing.
I like how my mind constantly changes. How my views on different things from time-to-time change. My interests change on how I like things at any given time.
For instance, I like to cook, I find essential oils, astrology, myths and legends of all nations fascinating. Different languages from those nations. One day I hope to be fluent in Spanish, sign language and a little more fluent in Cherokee.
I obviously love to write and read, constantly. I would love to learn wire jewelry, quilling art and herbology to heal naturally.
I want to help people with their confidence levels. Knowing more in psychology would help tremendously.
See, what I mean about my different wants? To me, there isn’t enough time in the day.
Oh, and to top it off I am so horrible with time management. But to me this is okay cause I feel that my creativity comes out more if under pressure. Although this only works on things that I am interested in not something that I should be working on, like school assignments.
Some will say that I am undecisive, scatter brained but I’m okay with this. It makes me unique, makes me, well me!
I am all for learning new things that are fun. I think it makes me blend in well with any of my friends’ hobbies. That way they will still enjoy what they love to do, and I would learn a new hobby. Win, win!
So, I may have a touch of ADHD or Bipolarness, maybe a touch of depression but I still enjoy myself in my different hobbies. At least I can’t say that I will ever get bored.
What are your hobbies that you enjoy? Do you just have one or may like me? I would love to know what you love to do.
“A girl who is going to do big things- cannot let small things get to her.”

This is so true. If you want your goals or dreams to happen, you cannot allow other people’s criticisms lead you to your own undoing.
If you allow this to happen then you wouldn’t have the courage to continue. So, in order to do that you must stay, remain, brave and strong. Use those criticisms to your advantage, a lesson, if you may, to make it better, so you may reach your goal.
Don’t allow others unhappiness ruin yours. They just want someone to fail along with them. Heck, if you’re successful enough, your happiness could encourage them to accomplish their own life dreams and goals.
I know a lot of times, for me, I let my fear get the best of me. Lucky for me, I have family and friends who encourage me to keep going. Then there are others who are not so lucky and that is when you will have to learn to become really dangerous. To really dig within yourself to pull that belief out and hold it within your hands and claim it!
With fear, as simple as it sounds, it can put a stop in your step. You just have to keep telling yourself that you can do this, because you can. Just kick that thought to the side and continue walking on to your destination.
I know, sometimes, it’s you who is saying that you can’t but don’t believe it! You have to dive deeply within to believe in yourself because only you can make that next move in your journey. Only you can talk to yourself into actually doing it.
Cause in the end, if everyone has left and there is only you. Best believe, there will be a time where you will feel that enough is enough and you will start taking charge of what you want done in your life.
So, do me a favor, believe in yourself and don’t allow others to bring you down. You are remarkable, and you are worthy to have as much happiness as the next person.
Does anyone else get really involved with their children’s shows? or is that just me?
Lately my daughter has been watching a show called Miraculous: Tales of Lady Bug and Cat Noir.
It’s about a sweet clumsy girl, named Marinette Dupain-Cheng, who lives in Paris and is chosen to be a modern superhero. A Guardian choose Marinette to hold a magical jewel along with magical Kwami called Tikki. A few words spoken and Marinette and Tikki combine, become a superhero named Lady Bug.
With every hero there is a partner, in this case, Cat Noir. The guardian sought out at perfect match for the magical ring and a Kwami creature called Plagg. He came across a boy named Adrien Agreste, same age as Marinette, to become a superhero, we know, as Cat Noir.
The downfall they cannot know of each other’s identity. Due to their common threat, a villain named Hawkmoth. He too has a miraculous, a butterfly and a Kwami named Nooroo. What he does is Akumatizes white Butterflies, although they look like moths to me, and turns them dark. Then these dark butterflies fly out and locate dark energies in people and possess them when they are vulnerable, making them into villains.
This is where Lady bug comes in. She has a yoyo that can capture these dark butterflies and transform them back into regular butterflies. Her yoyo also possesses a lucky charm that Lady Bug has to use to help figure out how to battle the effected people, people that she knows, and tries not to hurt them. Once they are safe and deakumatized, Lady bug then uses her lucky charm to fix any damage that had happened during their battle to help save their friends.
Cat Noirs role is to help aide Lady bug in breaking the object that the Akuma has attached itself to, in order to release the butterfly. The thing is that Cat Noir uses a cataclysm and is known for destruction.
The two are the most powerful miraculous holders and it’s mentioned that when these two miraculous are joined the holder can be grant a wish, but it comes with a price. This is what Hawk moth wants for his own personal game.
Another twist is that the two holders go to the same school. Marinette loves a boy named Aidrian, who is a teen model and she a fashion designer student. She can’t seem to talk or walk normally around Adrian. The twist is that Adrain who is Cat noir, loves Ladybug. So, it’s sort of a love triangle but a love duo?????
Later on in the season Ladybug, starts to depend on her friends for help. She starts to hand out Miraculous to help aide her in fighting Hawkmoth.
All in all, it is a cute story line to watch. I find myself asking my daughter questions about who likes who in the series. Even though I know the answer, it gets a conversation started between the two of us, plus it helps me to understand her on a comprehension level.
I also find myself yelling at the TV saying, ‘How in the heck do they not know that they are Marinette and Adrian!’ This brings a smile to her face.
So, what shows do your kids watch and do you get involved with them too? Let me know in the comments below. Hope to talk to you soon!
You need to just keep going. Hard to say when you feel like giving up, right? Although there maybe something that you may have missed. You have been so strong doing things on your own that you haven’t noticed that you are actually doing it. You are battling something that was meant for you. You are stronger than you think you are. You know why I think that? It’s because you have been through so much before and you came out even stronger than before.
Why do you think that you are not worthy? It’s saddening to hear yourself say that. If only you knew what I knew or see what I see. Then and only then would you truly believe in yourself? But if you did, would you actually believe in it?
I hope you do. I hope that one day you start to challenge yourself and you continue to challenge yourself every day. Not for others but for yourself. A proof that you need to prove to yourself that you are more than you think you are in this world.
I pray that you give yourself the grace or a break for doing all that you have done. The permission to forgive your past mistakes behaviors or actions. Give you’re doubts, your insecurities a rest to any judgements that you may think. While you’re at it if you feel others have doubts against you, bypass them and place them where they belong, in your past. Keep moving forward. Just know that nobody is perfect, and you shouldn’t always strive to be perfect for others. Strive to be perfect for yourself and only yourself.
If you do mess up on something, don’t feel bad about it, learn from it, use it. Learn how to not do it again and be wise to teach others as to what to look out for, if ever they are in a particular situation.
Always remember that you are only one person and that you do not have to do everything alone. Lay down your plate when it is too full to carry. Do at least one thing a day, for yourself, and be proud of it. No matter how small the accomplishment is.
Last but not least, don’t ever think that ‘taking time for yourself’ is selfish. Everybody needs to take time to reflect on themselves, sort of like a reboot on life.
So be kind to yourself. You only have one body, one mind, one life. Cherish what you have. If you don’t have it, by all means fight for it. Fight for what you want. You deserve to have a wonderful life, just like everyone else and don’t allow anyone to tell you any different.
With all of my heart keep going, don’t’ give up on yourself. If you need motivation, devout it to something special to you. A Child, a fur baby, write down your goals, your dreams. Just don’t ever give up on yourself. Believe in yourself that this will pass, and you will be happy again. The bad times never last forever. They are only a chapter of your life, not a life sentence.
I’d have to be honest here, I couldn’t finish this book. I normally would try and read a hundred pages before I call it quits, on page 90, I was done. This book, however, didn’t hold my attention and I struggled to keep reading.
I love paranormal suspense books. That was what drew me to it. To be honest I couldn’t fully understand Grace, the heroine. I get that she’s military and serious, and I’m used to it, due to my own military family. There just wasn’t anything that I could connect with her in order to enjoy this book.
For Brice… Well, I was hoping somebody would have shot him in the book. He was so arrogant and pushy. As Grace, the way she was Portrayed in the story, she just put up with him and allowed it to go on for so long.
Now Grace is a psychic tracker for the Army. She was hired to find the missing child. Brice, who is a local sheriff, is also determined to find the missing children. But he’s distracted by his attractions or lack thereof, towards her.
While he tries to break down her walls, he also tries to find the kids, but he can’t seem to do two things at once. Honestly, He was thinking between his legs and not with his actual head! With Grace and her walls, I feel that there were zero chemistry between the two but that’s just me.
I would maybe give this book a one star if I was rating it.
What are your thoughts on this book? Let me know down below. Maybe there was something that I missed that you may be caught. Although I highly doubt that I will read the rest of the book or the rest of the series.
I was asked as to what obsessions I have. I have many hanging around my house and some that may become obsessions down the road.
Now my obsessions may not be as vast as other people’s obsessions, but I do love looking at them and I sometimes have control over, if I get it or not.
Let me tell you of my obsessions.
My first obsession are Wolves, particularly the Eastern Wolf or as you may call them the Timber Wolves or the Algonquin Wolf. These beautiful creatures are smaller than a Grey Wolf (although I love all wolves, these Timber Wolves are my favorite) but they are larger than a coyote. What I love about them is that they are intermediate and sometimes intimidating, (Like all things wild, right?) They come in all sorts of colors but most of them are a grayish brown in their flanks, while their chest can be like a cream color. Some say that they are a mix of a Grey Wolf and a coyote, a result of an ancient species that were mixed together. These animals live in packs with a dominant male and female to lead the way. So, the pack is very social and loyal to their leaders. The howling at night, while they are hunting, that is them communicating to one another. Sadly, there are only 3% left in the world due to almost extinction in the early 1900s. Settlers who viewed them as a threat.
My other obsession are slots. Now you may see them as a smelling coursed hair creature that moves so slow. Be that as it may, sloths are no threat to humans. There top speed (if threatened,) is 0.17mph. They are mostly solitary creatures who like to be left alone and do not like to be touched. They are either two or three toed, they have long legs, have stumpy tails and live mostly in trees. Although they are very slow at moving either in the trees or on the ground, but they are excellent swimmers. What I like about them is that they look like they are always smiling. When they reach out to you (the Friendly ones), they have this loving look to them. It just warms my heart to see that.
I know, I know two completely different animals. One is a predator, and I associate that to be my outside. As for the prey, not so much aggression, they are what I want to be, lazy and a sleep all the time.
Books are another obsession that I have. I blame Beauty and the Beast, the 1995 cartoon version. When the Beast gave Belle a library. Too beautiful not to have/want. Grant it I don’t have one room that dedicates to a full library. My books are spread out all over my house. I do, however, have a Zen room for my books but its only for warmer weather, to actually sit out there and enjoy the outdoors.
No matter how many books I have, I constantly have the feeling that I need more! I love the way a book feels, the pages of how they smell, (I know, I’m weird). The design on some of the spines are beautiful. There are so many thoughts from different people all contained into one binding. Its breath taking but amazing to think about.
Journals, it doesn’t necessarily have to have writing in them. It could be a beautiful journal with either a special clasp or throng to keep it closed. Yes, they are for writing in but there isn’t anything that I can think of that is worth writing about in there just yet. So, I just keep them for inspirational ideas for the stories that I write.
Even the hollow books are magnificent. You can hide things within the pages. Sort of like secretes within pages to find more magnificent wonders. Now I’m no bibliomaniac to the point where I have multiple copies of the same book. I do however have many different genres and different authors of various ages. So maybe I am a Bibliophile, and I don’t regret it.
My other obsession is Dragonflies. A symbol of change, transformation and self-realization. Dragonflies’ mean many different things in different cultures around the world. They are:
Japan= symbolic of happiness, strength, courage and success.
Italy and Dakota Indians= are known as witches’ animals or their familiars.
India= Love, growth, adaptability
Egypt= It was best wishes to their soldiers who fought in a war.
I even was told that angels ride on the backs for transportation or they are our loved ones after death, and they take form of a dragonfly to come and visit with us. They come in so many different colors and sizes. I used to live near a little pond and I ‘d often watch them dance around from stem to stem. When left alone it looked like they were synchronizing among themselves or catching a prey. It is a beautiful sight, especially if you are listening to a particular music.
It’s the simple things that interest me. The way I see it, the wolf is my aggressive side for when I have to be strong. The sloth is for my off days or when I am alone and the dragonflies are my spiritual side, as for my books they allow me to explore wherever I want to go. Now if I dive in real deep the meanings of each of my obsessions are a totally different meaning but that is for a different day.
What about you? What are your obsessions? What can you tell me about you?
“Nothing is impossible. The word itself says ‘I’m Possible!” – Audrey Hepburn
Audrey Hepburn was a vibrant British actress and a world known humanitarian. You have probably seen her in some of her movies like:
Breakfast at Tiffany’s
Roman Holiday
Sabrina
My Fair Lady
Just to name a few, she was ranked third by the American film institute as the greatest female screen legend from the classical Hollywood Cinema and was enlisted into the international, as best dressed, hall of fame.
Audrey was born May 4th, 1929, in a town called Ixelles, Belgium. She sadly died January 20,1993 and was buried in Tolochenaz, Switzerland.
Her quotes meaning is to give the reader or listener courage to follow their dreams. Her quote means that if we give up too easily or too quickly. Which is true in some cases but if you can imagine anything that you want, you can make it happen. Now go out and do it! Make it happen!
We often make ourselves our own worst enemies. The lack of self-confidence doesn’t help the matter either. This sort of belief makes us think negatively about wanting to start something new. Something that we want to do or try.
This quote reminds me that the challenges I face are helping me to build who I am and what I want. Fear seems to get the best of us. letting that fear decide for us comes naturally because we are ‘comfortable’ with it but fighting against that fear and controlling your own way, takes courage. Now rather you succeed or fail, depending on how you look at things, you will always walk away with something of use or value. Something that you may use on your next adventure. So, if you’re scared of doing what you want, take the chance and see what you can make from it.
Nothing is impossible, because you are possible to make the impossible, possible. Never give up on your dreams, more importantly never give up on yourself.
What are some fears that you had but you found the courage to overcome it to follow your dreams? or maybe if you still have fears maybe we can help you to overcome it to achieve what you always wanted?
Le me know down below in the comments, can’t wait to hear from you guys.
As many of you know, I am a writer. I write stories and I write blog entries. If I’m not writing, I am reading.
My daughter on the other hand, is the complete opposite. Although last night she surprised me.
She came home with her report card. We both dread it when those come. Well, the new concern is her social studies. Seeing that she doesn’t bring homework home I have to investigate. I messaged her teacher to ask what they are studying, for the weeks ahead, so I can stay on top of her classes. Her teacher told me that they are leaning the thirteen colonies and the French and Indian war. What her teacher informed me was that for her tests it’s an open book. The problem is my daughter doesn’t go back and look for the answers in the paragraph, so she guesses.
So, in other words, she’s not reading. As I told her from her first grade card. If she doesn’t raise her grades, she will have homework with me every day and she will not be playing any sports.
To get the ball started, I went to our local Ollies store and found a fourth grade, reading, writing, math, science all in one book.
Each night we do one page of each section, and I make her read everything before she answers the questions. I then ask her if she understands the question and what it said in the paragraph. When she chooses and answer I have her answer as to why she chose that answer. Rather it be right or wrong, I want her explanation and also to see if she remembers the passage or go over it if she is wrong.
With my daughter, she can read the passage, but the comprehension and the retaining part gets to her. So, I work with her to get through it, asking those questions.
Oh, Did I mention that my daughter has ADHD, Attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder. You can imagine how creative I have to be to get her to enjoy the work and not dread it. Through these studies I also caught a little of dyslexia when she reads, even her teacher also notices it as well, when I mentioned it. She likes to add an extra letter to some of her words or her ‘B’s and ‘D’s get mixed up.
Some days it’s challenging to get Haylee to read. I always get a groan here and there with an occasional eye roll on the side.
I have noticed that when I read it to her, she seems to understand it better. With my curiosity, I am thinking, she may be an auditory learner.
My next step was to go to the library and have her pick out a book that interested her and have her read from there. Then when I learned more about the Auditory, I turned to Libby and was able to find books that read to her as she followed along.
What I learned was that there are many different ways to learn. According to our family Doctor, with so many out there, the four main ones are perfect for her grade level. The ones he told me to focus on to best help my daughter. These four were:
Visual
Auditory
Reading/ Writing
Kinesthetic (learning through movement or a tactile approach)
Those are the four I grew up knowing about and Doc even agreed to giving it a try and see how she progresses through the years. To see if she needs to be adjusted or not.
So, tell me what type of learner is your child?
Does your child also despise reading like mine does?
If so, what are a few tricks that you do to get your child to read?
Let me know down below. I am always up for trying something new for my daughter to learn and grow.
